What to expect at The Game Awards 2023
This year’s version of The Game Awards will feature the same mixture of award presentations and game-related announcements as previous years. However, unlike recent years, teases for said game-related announcements have been surprisingly sparse from both the show’s official sources and the game companies themselves. As of December 6, these are the only announcements confirmed for the show:
- The next downloadable character for Guilty Gear Strive Season 3
- New information for Warframe’s upcoming Whispers In The Walls update
- A Sega-related announcement, which was teased through mailers sent to fighting-game-focused content creators
- A new Dead By Daylight collaboration, this time with Supermassive Games
- Red Barrels, developer of The Outlast Trials, is teasing…something
- The gameplay launch trailer for VR game Asgard’s Wrath 2
- Atlus has confirmed an update for Metaphor: ReFantazio
