Balatro Update Adds Stardew Valley, Cyberpunk 2077 Crossovers
After the success of its first Friends of Jimbo collaboration pack in August, cult roguelike hit Balatro has just received a new free crossover pack including content themed around Cyberpunk 2077, Stardew Valley, Slay the Spire, and The Binding of Isaac.
As with the last collaboration bundle, the new pack is free, and features card skins from number of popular characters from games ranging in size from AAA to indie titles. The new cosmetic cards can be unlocked from the new Customize Deck menu in the game’s settings. The skins are completely optional, and only add aesthetic changes to the game.
“After we launched the first collaboration pack this summer, we knew we wanted to invite even more friends to join the party,” said Playstack PR manager Wout van Halderen. “Working with these talented developers and studios has been such a rewarding experience, and seeing their creations in Balatro has been a real highlight for both Playstack and LocalThunk.”
The previous collaboration pack added card skins from The Witcher, Among Us, Vampire Survivors, and Dave the Diver, and it doesn’t seem like this is the last collaboration Playstack is planning. In a post on the game’s BlueSky, the developer asked: “Is this the full squad, or is there more to come?”
The Balatro Friends of Jimbo 2 pack is available now as a free update on PC, mobile, and consoles.
