Fortnite Nitro Drifter Locations For Week 1 Challenge

You’ll need to find a Fortnite Nitro Drifter as part of the Week 1 challenges to earn a cool 12,000 XP, but given that Chapter 4 Season 2 is still in its early days, some players may be confused about what this item even is. Here’s a quick guide to help you identify and locate the Nitro Drifter, then all you’ll need to do with it is destroy objects while drifting or boosting with it.

Fortnite Nitro Drifter

Like you’ll see in the trailer below, the Fortnite Nitro Drifter is the new neon-lit street racing car you can find in certain areas of the island by default this season.

Given its close ties to the season’s futuristic city theme, your best bet is to drop at Mega City or the race track just north of it. At either location, you’ll find plenty of Nitro Drifters parked all over. At the race track, one of them is even equipped with off-road tires, which is a nice find since vehicle mods are otherwise vaulted this season.

Once you have a Nitro Drifter, you may find it a bit tougher to smash through the environment than you did in the last few seasons, as now there are no cow catchers to equip to your vehicle. With that in mind, we recommend boosting or drifting through easily broken objects, like small fences, flags decorating the roadside at the race track, and fire hydrants.

The Nitro Drifter is found all over Mega City or the race track just north of there.

Harder objects made of brick or stone will take a few hits to break in some cases, so focus on wooden objects as much as possible. The car will take a bit of a beating but it should survive long enough to help you clear the 25 objects required to finish the challenge.
