Netflix Is Bringing Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy To Mobile Devices Next Month

The ever-growing Netflix mobile game catalog will receive a major addition next month, as the company has announced a deal with Rockstar Games to bring the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition to the Netflix app on December 14.

The move will see all three PlayStation 2-era GTA titles ported to mobile devices exclusively to Netflix members. The games will be available to download through the Netflix app, which will then forward users to either the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store for download.

The three games included in the packages are as follows:

  • Grand Theft Auto III, the first-ever 3D open-world GTA set in Liberty City
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which follows the story of Tommy Vercetti in the Miami-esque Vice City
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which centers around Carl “CJ” Johnson after he’s framed for homicide in Los Santos

The trilogy joins over 80 games in the Netflix Games portfolio, as the company recently announced the addition of Hades, Katana Zero, Death’s Door, and Braid: Anniversary Edition during Netflix Geeked Week. Notable games currently offered on the Netflix app include Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, Dead Cells, Samurai Shodown, and Kentucky Route Zero.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition will be available on iOS and Android through the Netflix app on December 14. The entire Netflix Games portfolio is available now, and it is included with every active Netflix subscription.
