Warframe Is Finally On Mobile After 11 Years

Digital Extremes has announced that Warframe is now available on iOS, and the Android version will be released at a later date.

Warframe was released almost 11 years ago, back in 2013, and has finally made its way to mobile platforms. It features cross-save and cross-platform functionality so players can play with friends at any time with any device and maintain their progress. Players also have access to all of the same gameplay and story content, including the recently released Whispers in the Walls update.

Those who log in during the iOS version’s launch week can claim a three-day affinity booster and a Bombyx Syandana cosmetic. Digital Extremes recommends playing on iPhones and iPad hardware released in 2018 and 2019 or later, respectively.

The Warframe Companion app is actually temporarily delisted from the iOS App Store during the game’s iOS launch window. This was to avoid confusion for players who are looking to download the game. However, it will continue to function normally for those who have already downloaded it.

In GameSpot’s 2019 Warframe review, we said, “Just when you feel like you’ve hit a lull, a better, and more fulfilling opportunity will likely present itself. Perhaps most importantly, Warframe makes sure that the time spent in its world is almost always well rewarded.”
