Pokemon Go: How To Evolve Poipole Into Naganadel
Pokemon Go is wrapping up its World of Wonders season very soon, but not before a few more Ultra Beasts make their long-awaited arrival. Three more mysterious Pokemon are now available in the game as part of the Ultra Space Wonders event, including Poipole’s evolved form Naganadel.
Unlike other Ultra Beasts, the only way to obtain Naganadel right now is through evolution. However, the method of evolving Poipole is a little different in Pokemon Go than in the mainline Pokemon games, so here’s a full rundown on how to evolve your Poipole into Naganadel.
How To Get Poipole
While most other Ultra Beasts are catchable through raid battles, Poipole is only obtainable through the World of Wonders Special Research story. Fortunately, you can get one very easily. All you need to do is complete the first step of the story to earn a chance to catch Poipole. You can see the full list of tasks and rewards below:
World Of Wonders Special Research – Step 1
- Catch 20 Pokemon – Reward: 10 Poke Balls
- Spin 10 PokeStops – Reward: 7 Pinap Berries
- Transfer 10 Pokemon – Reward: 7 Razz Berries
Rewards for completing Step 1: Poipole encounter, 803 XP
You have until June 1 to log in and claim the World of Wonders Special Research.
If you’ve purchased a Wonder Ticket, you can also add a second Poipole to your collection by completing the third and final set of Timed Research tasks. Wonder Tickets are available through the in-game item shop until June 1 for $10 USD.
How To Evolve Poipole Into Naganadel
Once you’ve captured a Poipole, you’ll need to go through a few steps before you can evolve it into Naganadel. First, you must set Poipole as your buddy Pokemon and catch 20 dragon-type Pokemon. Once you’ve met that condition, you can evolve Poipole using 200 Poipole Candy.
Ultra Space Wonders Event
As mentioned, Naganadel has arrived in Pokemon Go as part of the Ultra Space Wonders event, which runs until May 28. In addition to Naganadel, the Ultra Beasts Stakataka and Blacephalon are also available in the game. The former is appearing in five-star raids throughout the Eastern Hemisphere, while the latter is only available in the Western Hemisphere.
On top of that, players will earn double the usual amount of XP for winning Ultra Beast Raid Battles during the event, and the final part of this season’s Special Research story is now live, giving you a chance to earn additional rewards including more Poipole Candy. Last but not least, Shiny Mareanie is also appearing throughout the event, making this your first opportunity to catch one.
Though Pokemon Go’s World of Wonders season may be coming to an end, a new season is on the horizon, which means even more events and Pokemon debuts are on the way soon. While the new season has not yet been fully revealed, developer Niantic recently outlined Pokemon Go’s Community Day schedule for next season. The legendary Pokemon Necrozma is also set to debut soon as part of Pokemon Go Fest 2024.
